ItB Day 2 – Kristian Miller!

posted in: Uncategorized 0

Today’s introduction is for the Marymoor Velodrome Associations Board President, Kristian Miller! Our designated board leader and defacto head of state has a lot on his plate getting ready for next season, but he was kind enough to share some words about himself and what he’s looking forward to in the upcoming season. To reach Kristian, email him at admin@velodrome.org. Read on for more on our Board President.

Cory: What can you tell me about your family?

Kristian: Well that’s an odd one. I live alone in Seattle so…

C: Right, bad place to start. How about plans for a family?

K: I got a whole lot going on right now…

C: Of course. Any pets?

K: That dream has yet to be realized.

C: Well do you at least have a spirit animal?

K: It would look something like this…

I kid you not – his response was “I’d like a dog, especially one with a scrunchy face?”

C: Fair enough. How about what you do for a ‘living’.

K: I’m an economist for a video game company in Bellevue, and it’s a pretty fun gig if you can get into it. I dive into data and defend ancients from time to time.

C: I’d imagine that’s quite fun. Let’s talk more about you and cycling!

K: I’m the Cat 2 you’re most likely to see suffering in Off-The-Bakistan out at Marymoor. I dabble in crits and kermesses, and one day I will stop fixing up my cyclocross bike and actually race it.

C: I don’t envy you then. What would you say to our MVA followers out there about next year?

K: I’m excited for this coming season, as I think we’ve built a really great foundation in the past few years from which to grow further. The track is the best place to race in the Pacific Northwest, and the community is phenomenal. You meet awesome people like me and all those other cyclists, and we give you plenty of reason to come back time and time again.

C: Awesome! Be sure to email Kristian at his new MVA email admin@velodrome.org if you have anything for him.
