Marymoor Velodrome Honored with Flag

On July 4, 2011, the Marymoor Velodrome was presented with an American Flag by Adam Cerulo, an American soldier who served in Afghanistan. The Certificate of Authenticity says "This national ensign was proudly flown over the NATO ROLE 3 Multinational Medical Unit at Kandahar Airfield Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom." Thank you Adam and all those who serve overseas!
MVA Womens Development Grant
Congratulations to Kelly Plese and Tela Crane on being the first recipients of the Marymoor Velodrome Association's Women's Development Grant. The grant was approved by the MVA Board in 2011 to assist developing women athletes take the next step to becoming elite level athletes. This grant will assist Ms. Crane and Ms. Plese in their efforts to attend and participate at the 2011 USA Cycling Elite National Track Cycling Championships in Carson, California. Congratulations and good luck!
Congratulations to our new board members!
The MVA met at Patterson Cellars last night and voted to accept our four new board members. Congratulations are in order for Hyun Lee, Dave Mann, Phil Stephens, and Annette Williams. Thank you all for stepping up and helping to lead the MVA!
In the next board meeting (TBA) we will decide the board positions for the existing and new board members.
