Marymoor Velodrome Honored with Flag

On July 4, 2011, the Marymoor Velodrome was presented with an American Flag by Adam Cerulo, an American soldier who served in Afghanistan. The Certificate of Authenticity says "This national ensign was proudly flown over the NATO ROLE 3 Multinational Medical Unit at Kandahar Airfield Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom." Thank you Adam and all those who serve overseas!
MVA Womens Development Grant
Congratulations to Kelly Plese and Tela Crane on being the first recipients of the Marymoor Velodrome Association's Women's Development Grant. The grant was approved by the MVA Board in 2011 to assist developing women athletes take the next step to becoming elite level athletes. This grant will assist Ms. Crane and Ms. Plese in their efforts to attend and participate at the 2011 USA Cycling Elite National Track Cycling Championships in Carson, California. Congratulations and good luck!
Congratulations to our new board members!
The MVA met at Patterson Cellars last night and voted to accept our four new board members. Congratulations are in order for Hyun Lee, Dave Mann, Phil Stephens, and Annette Williams. Thank you all for stepping up and helping to lead the MVA!
In the next board meeting (TBA) we will decide the board positions for the existing and new board members.
Thanks to everyone who came out, and thanks again to the new board members!

It's Sprint Mania tonight! You need to have a 200m time from Marymoor from this season (no exceptions!!!) in order to compete in the Sprint Mania events.
Sprint Mania Format:
- The top 8 200m times that are present that night will be entered into a standard sprint tournament, 1/4 finals (one ride, with winners progressing to semi-finals and losers to 5-8th final), semi-finals (one ride, winners to 1/2 ride, losers to 3/4 ride) and finals will be best out of three rides. Current Upgrade Points Posted
The current upgrade points (as of 7/17) have been posted in the downloads column on the left side of the homepage.
A note from Dot about points- "If riders are Cat 4 Track with a Cat 3 or higher road category, or Cat 3 Track with a Cat 2 or Cat 1 road category and it is not reflected on the sheet, they should send an email to request that. I try to catch the road category when I get new riders, but I have no idea when they upgrade on the road. I just don’t have that magical power!
